Straight answers about resolving IRS and state tax debt — Offers in Compromise, payment plans, penalties, levies, and how we work.

Tax Resolution

An Offer in Compromise lets qualifying taxpayers settle their IRS tax debt for less than the full amount owed. The IRS weighs your income, expenses, asset equity, and ability to pay. Not everyone qualifies, but for those who do it can resolve a large balance for a fraction of the total. We review your finances first to see whether an OIC is realistic before you apply.

An installment agreement is a monthly payment plan with the IRS. Instead of paying the full balance at once, you make affordable monthly payments until the debt (plus interest) is paid or the collection period expires. We structure the lowest defensible payment and keep you in good standing so the IRS pauses aggressive collection.

Often, yes. Through penalty abatement — including First-Time Abatement and reasonable-cause relief — the IRS can remove failure-to-file and failure-to-pay penalties if you qualify. Penalties are frequently a large share of a balance, so abatement can meaningfully lower what you owe.

A levy or garnishment can often be released by entering a formal resolution (installment agreement, currently-not-collectible status, or an accepted OIC) and showing financial hardship. Time matters — contact us as soon as you receive a levy notice so we can act before funds are taken.
